      Lead Pastor

      Jeremy thinks of himself as a testimony of God’s patience, mercy, and grace. He grew up in a Christian home and at an early age had the desire to pastor a church. With this resolve, Jeremy entered Bible college after high school and earned a B.A. in Biblical Studies. His postgraduate work has led to two Master’s degrees (M.A. & M.Div., both in Theological Studies) and a Doctoral degree (D.Ed.Min - Leadership) from Southern Seminary. 

      Jeremy is not originally from Wisconsin. Growing up in the Detroit area of Michigan has caused him to be an avid fan of the University of Michigan – a shortcoming the church is mostly gracious to overlook, while still seeking to convert him to a Badger fan. 


      Jeremy's favorite activity when not working is to spend time with his best friend and wife, Anouk, as well as with their daughter, Michaela, and son, Isaiah.

    • Dave Murphy

      Associate Pastor


      Dave considers himself privileged to have grown up in Guatemala where his missionary parents, Clyde and Edith Murphy, taught him to trust and follow Christ. Edith served faithfully until God called her home in 2022, and Clyde has been at Guatemala Bible Seminary since 1974.  


      God led Dave to Moody Bible Institute to study Church Music as a pianist, where he met Karen Macewicz. Dave and Karen got married in 1991 and were blessed to raise a family of four sons. Nowadays, their eyes light up when they talk about their grandchildren, who affectionately call them Grammie and Papi.


      Before joining us as our associate pastor in 2025, Dave served in music and teaching ministries at Grace Church of DuPage in Chicago, Cedar Grove Church in Philadelphia, and First Baptist Church in Upper Burrell, PA.


      Dave’s heartfelt desire is to “do whatever is profitable to build up the church” and foster a community of faith where everyone is engaged in Memorial's mission to ─

    • Nikki Smith

      Nikki is a passionate and creative individual who is always striving to learn. She has been continually amazed by God's guiding hand in her life. After graduating from high school, she attended Ethos 360 Bible institute where her passion for ministry and missions was born. She then finished her degree in Ministry leadership through Grace College and Theological Seminary. 


      She and her husband Jordan have a passion for Camp ministry and the family that they have gained while working. They both love volleyball (don't worry, they are not competitive at all) and paddleboarding with their Australian shepherd, Keda.


      Although Nikki and Jordan have just moved back to the Madison area, she was born and raised in Wisconsin and is a 4th generation Member at MBC. Nikki enjoys travel, coffee, Thai food, art and so much more. She is so excited to be a part of this body of believers and invest where she can.
